Infrastructure Automation & Operations Platform
Terraform, Ansible, AWX, GitOps, CI/CD, and operational documentation used to move recurring infrastructure work into repeatable workflows.
Deployment turnaround reduced by more than 60%
Context
Recurring infrastructure work covered provisioning, configuration, backups, deployments, and operational support. The objective was to move this work from manual administration toward versioned, repeatable platform operations.
Automation approach
- Terraform for declarative infrastructure provisioning.
- Ansible for configuration and recurring operational automation.
- AWX, deployed on K3s, for managed execution of automation workflows.
- Self-hosted GitLab and GitLab CI for GitOps and CI/CD workflows.
- Backup workflows, runbooks, and technical documentation to support repeatable operations.
- Source-of-truth thinking to keep intended state and operational changes reviewable.
Operational visibility
Prometheus, Grafana, and ELK / EFK environments supported visibility across cloud, network, and hardware operations. Monitoring and logging were treated as inputs to infrastructure ownership rather than decorative dashboards.
Verified result
The GitOps and CI/CD improvements reduced deployment turnaround by more than 60%.
No additional uptime, cost, or performance outcomes are claimed.
